I’ll be perfectly honest, I don’t watch baseball… When I started collecting in the 70s, I watched a lot of baseball. I can’t explain the reasoning other than it’s hard for me to stay checked into a baseball game anymore unless it’s just really, really, excited. With this being the case, I honestly have lost track of most modern era baseball players and really couldn’t tell you much about any of them anymore. I do however have memories of a lot of players that were active during the “junk wax era” of 1986 throug 1994.
I have a lot of people ask me which cards do I focus on with my baseball collection and my usual response is typically.. players that are either in the hall of fame, should be in the hall of fame. I also will typically add rookie cards or special cards from time to time for players that might not be in the hall of fame but who might bring a good return. These are the baseball players that I have in my collection & online store. These players all had cards in production during the “junk wax” era that I grew up collecting in from 1986-1994.
