I’ve been using Apple Music for as long as I can remember. I put together this section of my website to share my music library and playlists with anyone that might be interested. If you are viewing this page on a slow internet connection you might want to give the page a second or two to load up. I’m constantly adding new music to these playlists so keep checking back…
Cotton Rohrscheib’s 4th of July Playlist
I put this playlist together one weekend we were getting ready to head to the lake for the fourth of July and have been adding to it through the years. If you have any great songs that you think fit into this patriotic mix, please let me know!
Cotton Rohrscheib’s 50th Birthday Playlist
I put this playlist together a few years ago for my 50th birthday party and celebration. It’s a great mix and I go back to it from time to time (even though I’m not 50 anymore!)
Cotton Rohrscheib’s 80s Playlist
The 80s were great, and the music was way better than what we have today… I don’t think many people would argue that. This is a collection I put together a few years back for a friends 80s themed party.
Cotton Rohrscheib’s 90s Playlist
While the 90s weren’t near as good as the 70s or 90s, there were still some pretty good tunes. I put together this playlist a few years back and have been adding to it over time. A lot of the 90s is a blur to me, so if there’s something I’m missing that needs to be in this playlist let me know.
Cotton Rohrscheib’s Christian Playlist
Personally, I’ve never been a big fan of Christian music, and don’t read into that… I’m a Christian and my faith is very important to me. It’s just that I’ve never really found a lot of musicians in the faith genre that I connected to enough to want to listen to them riding down the highway. There are exceptions, and here are a few that I like.
Cotton Rohrscheib’s Christmas Playlist
I put this playlist together several years ago and have added to it over time each season. I have a good mix of contemporary and traditional tunes mixed in here and will be adding more when December rolls around again…
Cotton Rohrscheib’s Classic Rock Playlist
Next to Southern Rock, this would probably be my favorite genre of music. I grew up listening to classic rock radio on Rock103 in Memphis and this playlist is an extension of the tunes they used to play. I will sometimes refer to this playlist as the soundtrack of my life.
Cotton Rohrscheib’s Delta Blues Playlist
Having grown up in the Mississippi Delta I have an appreciation for the Blues. This is a collection of blues tunes that I’ve put together through the years.
Cotton Rohrscheib’s Delta Music
This playlist contains tunes that are connected to the delta (but not blues specifically). This playlist has a crossover of multiple genres with songs about the delta (Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, etc.)
Cotton Rohrscheib’s Easy Listening
This is a great collection of easy listening tunes that I’ve put together over time that I like to kick back and listen to going down the road on trips and even in my backyard sitting by the pool relaxing.
Cotton Rohrscheib’s Grateful Dead
Anyone that knows me knows that I went through a Grateful Dead phase growing up and I still enjoy listening to the dead when the mood hits me. This is a great playlist that I’ve added to over time.
Cotton Rohrscheib’s Modern Playlist
This is a playlist of modern music that I like…
Cotton Rohrscheib’s Motown Jam
I have pretty eclectic music tastes, sometimes I even like to kick back and put on some classic Motown. This is a collection of great Motown music.
Cotton Rohrscheib’s NOLA Playlist
If you know me, you know that New Orleans, Louisiana is my favorite city in the world. This is a playlist of tunes that I listen to when I’m driving down to NOLA for the weekend.
Cotton Rohrscheib’s Outlaw Country
There will never be another genre of music like the classic outlaw country put out by Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Jr, and a few others. This is my essential outlaw country playlist.
Cotton Rohrscheib’s Power Ballads
It’s hard to beat some good heavy metal power ballads from the 80s and 90s. Just about every song on this playlist takes me back in time and fills my head with some great memories.
Cotton Rohrscheib’s Redneck Mix
I have no idea how this playlist came about, I guess it’s a phase I went through a few years back. Some of these are pretty good…
Cotton Rohrscheib’s Road Trip v1
I used to have multiple road trip playlists but cleaned them up and consolidated them into this one playlist. I plan to recreate some other editions so be sure to check back…
Cotton Rohrscheib’s Southern Rock
Okay, so if I had to pick one genre of music to listen to for the rest of my life it would be Southern Rock. For those of you that know me you already know… Also, this is not one of those playlists that you can really add many more songs to because they just aren’t making anymore southern rock and roll anymore.
Cotton Rohrscheib’s Summer Playlist
This is a playlist of tunes that I keep going all summer long when I’m laying out by the pool.
