Cotton Rohrscheib

I've been an entrepreneur my entire life and have been blessed to have been associated with hundreds of startups and projects throughout my career. A few years ago I started offloading many of my business interests to spend more time w/ my family and retool my focus toward the agricultural industry, ultimately I landed at Farmers Business Network, Inc. w/ a great team of people w/ shared mission / vision and the rest is history! I still operate my personal website & blog occasionally on topics of interest to me including; parenting, agriculture, technology, and whatever else comes my direction! My blog, cotton.buzz, is the product of over 20yrs worth of content, photos, podcasts, videos, etc., and all of the content I produce is mine personally, and only represent my views and/or opinions on topics and do not represent any of the businesses or associations I'm affiliated with.

New Pleth Logo

February 19, 2009 by Cotton Rohrscheib 2 Comments

We are unveiling our new logo today just in time for the Northeast Arkansas Advertising Federation Banquet this weekend.  The logo was designed by our good friend Melissa Powell at Powell Creative. Thanks Melissa, we know how hard we are to work with on client projects so working with us on our own branding had […]

The Facebook TOS

February 18, 2009 by Cotton Rohrscheib 1 Comment

I got no fewer than a dozen emails and twitters yesterday asking me what I thought about the new Facebook Terms of Service that was updated a few days ago so I thought I should probably weigh in on it and give everyone my take.  This morning, Facebook users were greeted with this message: Over […]

Joaquin Phoenix on Letterman

February 13, 2009 by Cotton Rohrscheib 1 Comment

I get cracked up every time I see this video.  I am a huge fan of David Letterman, and have been since high school.  Apparently Joaquin was under the influence of something while he was on the show and no one else I know of could have played this out any better than what Letterman […]

Microsoft Offers Bounty for Hackers

February 13, 2009 by Cotton Rohrscheib 1 Comment

Apparently Microsoft is looking to shut down the hackers who developed the Conicker aka Downadup Virus.  They are so serious that they have offered a $250,000 reward leading to the arrest and conviction of the developer.  I don’t recall Microsoft ever doing this before, wonder what it is about this virus that gives them the […]

Ministry 2.0 / Austin, Texas

February 12, 2009 by Cotton Rohrscheib 3 Comments

I am considering making this trip to attend Ministry 2.0 at Austin, Texas.  There appears to be a lot of good sessions related to blogging, podcasting, and social networking.  All three of these areas are avenues that we are pursuing with our Ministry Web Solutions. If anyone else is attending this year, please let […]

Projects: StruttinBucks Outdoors

February 10, 2009 by Cotton Rohrscheib 1 Comment

I have been working with the crew from StruttinBucks Outdoors, an outdoor reality show that airs on Fox 16 and a few other media outlets.  These guys probably have more fun at work than I do!  They are also a great group of Christian guys that are extremely talented. I have been helping them with […]

Facebook Flashmob (Verizon Spoof)

February 9, 2009 by Cotton Rohrscheib 1 Comment

When I heard about this Facebook Group that assembled inside of a train station this weekend in London I couldn’t help but get a kick out of it.  They were spoofing the “verizon network” commercials you see on television. There are about a half dozen or so variations of these commercials where they have thousands […]

Alleged phpBB Hack

February 6, 2009 by Cotton Rohrscheib 1 Comment

If you are unfortunate enough to have a bunch of PHPBB installations on your servers you should probably check out this post that my server admin passed along to me this morning.  PHPBB has been risky business for a while in my opinion, we have weened most of our clients away from PHPBB over the […]
