Updates to NascarView Portal

March 2, 2009 by Cotton Rohrscheib 1 Comment

Nascar season is in full swing, and so are my partners and I as of late.  Some of you might remember a while back I mentioned that we had purchased nascarview.com and were in the process of putting together an online community driven Nascar Portal.  Well, long story short, we launched the project a few weeks back in it’s most basic form, simply a website / blog with news and updates about Nascar running on it.

We branched out after the launch and setup the NascarView fan page on Facebook, you can access that here.  In the process of bringing the two of these entities together I setup the NascarView application on Facebook, you can access that here.  This application allows users to login to the NascarView website and post comments using their Facebook account login.  In addition, they can also share content from the website, as well as their comments on the website with their friends on Facebook.

We have also setup a twitter account that is directly tied to our website, you can follow @nascarview on twitter if you would like.

The next phase of our project was to launch a fan forum / message board.  This is by far one of the most popular pastimes for Nascar fans.  We launched this forum this past week and have already seen a lot of traffic to it as of late.  We have even had several volunteer moderators from other racing forums come on board to help us out in managing this application.  You can check out the message board here.  Stay tuned for more information about the forum as we continue to customize the site and make miscellaneous coding changes here and there…

You can check out the new NascarView fan portal here, or by clicking on the screenshot below:
