Cotton Rohrscheib

I've been an entrepreneur my entire life and have been blessed to have been associated with hundreds of startups and projects throughout my career. A few years ago I started offloading many of my business interests to spend more time w/ my family and retool my focus toward the agricultural industry, ultimately I landed at Farmers Business Network, Inc. w/ a great team of people w/ shared mission / vision and the rest is history! I still operate my personal website & blog occasionally on topics of interest to me including; parenting, agriculture, technology, and whatever else comes my direction! My blog, cotton.buzz, is the product of over 20yrs worth of content, photos, podcasts, videos, etc., and all of the content I produce is mine personally, and only represent my views and/or opinions on topics and do not represent any of the businesses or associations I'm affiliated with.

G-SNAP!

March 26, 2009 by Cotton Rohrscheib 1 Comment

My partners and I launched our Nascar project earlier this year, and as a lot of you probably already know from reading my blog entries, I am spending a lot of time on that project.  We have had an extremely successful run so far w/ the website and message boards, but probably the most popular […]

Twitter Follow Limits

March 25, 2009 by Cotton Rohrscheib 3 Comments

My partners and I were talking the other day about Twitter and wondering what the follow limits were in their social network.  Since their support information is somewhat hard to find, I decided to post the rules here for those of you who might have wondered this yourself… Why did I hit a limit? Last […]

Gmail Labs Ideas (‘undo send’)

March 25, 2009 by Cotton Rohrscheib 1 Comment

Ran across this article on CNN this morning and thought that it was a pretty interesting look at how ideas get birthed into actual software at Gmail Labs.  The ‘undo send’ application alone is something that I think users are going to embrace as the “next big thing” but there are several other ideas that […]

Love this Quote…

March 25, 2009 by Cotton Rohrscheib 1 Comment

Facebook is good for a lot of things, but this morning I picked up a great quote from a friend. Kris Shinn has this quote on his Facebook Profile and I absolutely loved it, wanted to share it with my readers: “Life shouldn’t be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely […]

5 Steps to Going Viral on Twitter

There is something to this post by Dan Zarrella.  I have been wrestling with some things that my partners and i have been working on and relying heavily on social networks like Twitter, I am in total agreement w/ ShoeMoney now.  I still believe that clients involved in industries like Real Estate are going to […]

This has been floating around for a few days but I thought that it was worth reposting in honor of the execs that have so graciously decided to pay back their bonuses…

I was honored to be a guest on syndicated radio talk show host Kerry Murphey’s weekly Nascar Podcast, The Final Lap.  We discussed NascarView.com as well as the social network Twitter.  We also talked a little bit about our relationship with MarkMartin.com and Nascar in general.  Jimmie Johnson was also on the show and he […]

March 23, 2009 by Cotton Rohrscheib 1 Comment

I was asked by the Phatguys this past week to be a guest on their Nascar Fantasy Podcast to discuss the upcoming Bristol Race and talk about our NascarView project.  It was a lot of fun, Oliver and Kevin might have too much fun with this podcast! Also, Kerry from Final Lap Radio called into […]
