Description
Wade Boggs was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2005, his first year of eligibility, with 91.9% of the vote. A 12-time All-Star, he finished his 18-year career with 3,010 hits and a .328 batting average, largely with the Boston Red Sox. He was formally inducted into Cooperstown that same year.
