Weight Loss, Diabetes, and Blood Pressure

January 14, 2013 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

I just wanted to post a quick update for those of you that have asked how I’m doing with my new regimen of lifestyle changes (diet, exercise, and nutritional supplements). Long story short I received a phone call the other day from my doctor where he told me to basically start weening myself off of my blood pressure medicines because my blood pressure (on the medicine) was too low! Needless to say he didn’t have to tell me twice!! I’ve been unable to exercise lately and get my 45 minutes of elevated heart rate in the mornings because honestly my blood pressure has been so low that I was getting dizzy and falling out. I guess this is a byproduct of dropping 30 pounds!!

My blood sugar has also been very manageable lately so during a doctors visit the other day I was told to cut my medication in half (skipping evening dosage) as long as my numbers stayed somewhat below our target goals (100 being perfect). Keep in mind I haven’t been working out, just keeping my carbohydrate intake below 65g a day, usually around 45g per day is where I try to stay. The only aspect of my new regimen of lifestyle changes that I would be remiss if I didn’t mention was an incredible group of products, actually nutritional supplements, that I’ve been using. I actually blogged about these products the other day. Click here if you would like to learn more…

As for my vision, I experienced another shift in my vision this past week (5 clicks the other direction), so apparently that part of the disease is yet to “stabilize” but I’m told to be patient and it will eventually. There’s a lot to learn about the effects of diabetes on the eye, and I promise I’ve been consuming as much info as I can every evening. I’m sure there will be more to come on this in the near future. For the time being, I’m involved in a 90 day challenge related to the products that I’ve been using where everyone is measured at the start of the program and whoever has the most results in the end of 90 days they will receive trips, prizes, etc. So stay tuned for more on this!!

I’ve had a lot of people ask, and I’m happy to announce, these products will be available in the US very soon!! Drop me a note if you would like to learn more about them…
