Description

Vintage Bomber Bait Co. Deep-Diving “Model A” Crankbait – Texas Red Crawfish

Add a legendary fish-catcher to your vintage tackle selection with this authentic Bomber Model A deep diver. Produced by the historic Bomber Bait Company in Gainesville, Texas, during the late 20th century, the Model A revolutionized structural crankbait fishing with its highly buoyant body and aggressive, bottom-thumping deflection action.

This classic molded plastic model features an oversized, integrated clear plastic diving bill engineered to dive deep and bounce clean off rocks, logs, and heavy cover. It comes decorated in the iconic and visually striking Texas Red Crawfish pattern, sporting a rich dark red-to-bright orange body fade, fine black stenciled crawfish shell detailing, a subtle chartreuse throat flash, and crisp yellow-and-black painted eyes. Outfitted with its original dual heavy-duty treble hooks, this vintage Texas-made plug serves as a perfect nostalgic display piece or a proven classic addition to any traditional angler’s tackle layout.

  • Manufacturer: Bomber Bait Company (Gainesville, TX)

  • Model: Model A (Deep Runner Series)

  • Material: Molded high-impact plastic body with integrated clear bill

  • Hardware: Premium original split rings, factory tie-eyes, and two classic treble hooks

  • Color/Pattern: Texas Red Crawfish / Tomato Craw (Red/Orange with Black Craw Shell Markings)

  • Condition: Authentic vintage condition. The body retains excellent color depth and a glossy factory finish. Shows natural tackle-box storage wear, minor surface scuffs, and distinct oxidation/rust patina on the original metal hooks consistent with age. The long plastic bill is structurally solid, completely intact, and free of any chips or cracks. 100% original.
