Cotton Rohrscheib

I've been an entrepreneur my entire life and have been blessed to have been associated with hundreds of startups and projects throughout my career. A few years ago I started offloading many of my business interests to spend more time w/ my family and retool my focus toward the agricultural industry, ultimately I landed at Farmers Business Network, Inc. w/ a great team of people w/ shared mission / vision and the rest is history! I still operate my personal website & blog occasionally on topics of interest to me including; parenting, agriculture, technology, and whatever else comes my direction! My blog, cotton.buzz, is the product of over 20yrs worth of content, photos, podcasts, videos, etc., and all of the content I produce is mine personally, and only represent my views and/or opinions on topics and do not represent any of the businesses or associations I'm affiliated with.

PHP Code Generation with Elisp

December 17, 2007 by Cotton Rohrscheib 1 Comment

One of the frustrations for me going into a PHP/MySQL Project is that there’s plenty of near-repetition involved software development; writing very similar code over and over again. Stop copying, pasting, and modifying, and start automating the process! Zachary Kessin shows how to use Emacs Lisp to generate useful and reusable database-access code for PHP. […]

Tips for Smart Holiday Shopping Online

December 17, 2007 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

The Federal Trade Commission has launched what I deem to be some pretty good advice for anyone that is looking to do the bulk of their shopping online this holiday season.  I read through the article and found quite a few tips they posted to be great, a few I didn’t think were all that […]

Early Christmas Gift…

December 17, 2007 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

My Business Partners, whether they know it or not, have given me an early Christmas Gift.  No, it’s not one of those cool little remote control helicopters, although those are pretty neat, instead it’s the fact that they have both launched their own personal blogs.  Why is this such a big deal for me?  Well, […]

Site Launch: 2 Music Geeks!

December 14, 2007 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

We launched a site the other day and I wanted to be sure and throw a blog entry up about it, it’s called 2 Music Geeks, www.2musicgeeks.com, and it’s a really fun website.  It’s actually a little bit more than just your typical blog, it’s more of a podcast than anything else.  Matt & Travis, […]

The Christmas Singers…

December 14, 2007 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

I have to thank my friend Ammie from MLS Software for sending this my way, I thought it was pretty cool and worthy of posting here, these guys have to have practiced this whole thing all year long, it’s hilarious how well they work together…

Mashable! – The Social Networking Blog

December 12, 2007 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

With social networking sites popping up all over the place it’s hard to keep up with what’s what.  I admit, being in the industry for a while and having seen the whole social networking thing pop up almost overnight nothing surprises me anymore with these networks.  One thing that has helped me stay on top […]

We have a few clients that utilize aMember Membership Management software.  There is a serious security hole found in aMember Pro. It affects all aMember Pro versions from 2.4.1 to 3.0.8. It is absolutely NECESSARY to take actions agains this and protect your aMember installation. Below are steps to follow. Please note that not all […]

Petrino quits Falcons to take Arkansas job

December 11, 2007 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

My sources hit me with this information about 4:30 – 5:00 this afternoon and after all that we have been through w/ Arkansas’ Coach Search I had to flip it on ESPN for verification and sure enough they were reporting it also so there must be some validity to the story…  This is a good […]

SUV Crashes into Mini-Mart…

December 11, 2007 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

Ran across this on Break.com, thought it was pretty funny. It’s a dude in a SUV that apparently loses control and comes crashing into the store. Notice the dude behind the counter, at first he doesnt know what to do and then finally he picks up the phone to call 911 I guess. Luckily no […]

Freezing in Place Pranks

December 10, 2007 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

I first saw the one where there were a bunch of improv actors in Grand Central Station that pulled off a stunt real similar to this, it was pretty cool. I will try to find it to add to this post later.  This one took place overseas in London I think and had a similar […]
