Web Host Denies Criminal Ties

I ran across this article on WHIR News and thought that it was pretty interesting,

Described by Spamhus as “the world’s worst spammer, child-pornography, malware, phishing and cybercrime hosting network,” RBN has been said to cater to Internet scammers and online criminals, renting them servers for $600 per month and promising “bullet-proof hosting.”

A report by iDefense, VeriSign’s cybersecurity reporting arm, called the business “entirely illegal,” and the SANS Internet Storm Center says RBN maintains a façade of legitimacy by “paying lip service” to abuse complaints, but nothing more.

notice that Spamhaus is the group that this company is giong after, it isn’t going after iDefense (Verisign), or the SANS Internet Storm Center.  Wonder why this is?  I will tell you why, out of the three organizations, Spamhaus is the one organization that can do this company the most harm by blacklisting their servers for sending spam, therefore throttling anyone who might be using their systems to send spam.  I don’t know why but I thought this article was a little interesting…
