The other night I had every intention in the world of watching the Grammy’s so I could see their all-star tribute to Levon but for the life of me I couldn’t make myself do it. I’m sure a big part of what I’m fixing to say has a lot to do with the fact that I’m getting older and all of that, but a lot of the music that won awards has no appeal to me whatsoever… some of it was even bad. Granted, I know that the younger generation would argue that there is a sound today that is unique and I’m just not hip, and they’d probably go on to tell me that everything on my iPod is ancient, but you give me some Van Morrison, Eagles, or Lynyrd Skynyrd any day of the week over any of the new acts…
