Description

Original 1864 Confederate States of America One Dollar note issued in Richmond, Virginia during the American Civil War. Dated February 17, 1864, this is the popular T-71 issue featuring a portrait of Confederate Secretary of War George W. Randolph at center. Printed by Keatinge & Ball, these notes circulated throughout the Confederacy during the final year of the war and remain highly collectible pieces of American history.

This example retains strong color and crisp detail with original signatures visible. The note shows honest circulation wear and has a small edge loss at the bottom margin, as shown in the photos. It has been stored in a protective currency holder for display and preservation.

Features:

  • Genuine Confederate States of America currency
  • Denomination: $1
  • Date: February 17, 1864
  • Richmond, Virginia issue
  • Catalog Number: T-71
  • Printed by Keatinge & Ball
  • Excellent collectible for Civil War, currency, and American history enthusiasts
