Description
Vintage Bomber Bait Co. Wooden “Water Dog” Deep Diver – Green Scale Finish
Add an authentic piece of post-war American angling history to your collection or tackle box with this vintage “Water Dog” crankbait. Manufactured by the legendary Bomber Bait Company in Gainesville, Texas, during the 1950s, this classic lure features the highly recognizable, contoured wooden body shaped to mimic a water dog (salamander).
Engineered for deep-water trolling and heavy cover, it features an oversized, hand-painted green metal diving lip designed to bounce off rock and timber. The tail comes equipped with its original small nickel-plated spinner blade to provide extra flash and vibration underwater. Sporting a beautiful, aged Green Scale pattern with hand-painted orange rimmed tack-eyes and two heavy-duty treble hooks mounted via classic heavy surface rigs, this lure shows fantastic natural age patina. Perfect for vintage tackle collectors or traditional anglers looking for a conversation-starting display piece.
