Several years ago my partners and I were contracted by Mayor James Valley of Helena to design a web presence for his Mayoral Campaign during Helena-West Helena’s first election since consolidating. We build a custom site for Mayor Valley that served his purpose well at the time, but recently when he reached out to us again to re-launch his campaign website for his third term I knew that we were going to need to take the project into some sort of framework.
As a public official Mayor Valley tries to use social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook to stay in touch w/ his constituents, as well as other popular platforms like Blogger to publish content. With his new project (which is built upon WordPress) all of these feeds from various sources all come together in one location. We also integrated some new things into this project such as his Picasa and PayPal accounts. Be sure to checkout the new website which launched today.
