It takes a pretty special woman to keep me organized and out of trouble, I’ll admit that I’m pretty high maintenance at times. We are fortunate in the fact that she doesn’t work a 9-5 job, but when you factor in all that goes into keeping this house in order, and add in a dog that has his own set of issues, plus a toddler that has a mind of his own, she has a pretty full plate each and every day! I’ve got to admit, I’m one more blessed guy to have her in my life and I thank God for her everyday!
Since she’s feeling a little under the weather this year I’m not going to be able to take her out for valentine’s dinner or anything special like that so I’m going to do the next best thing, order her some flowers and promise to make it up to her down the road… Back in the day I would have made her a mix-tape… but nowadays we’ve got the YouTubes…
This is “our song”, although neither of us really has a clue as to what it’s even about… something about a mermaid and turning cartwheels -who knows? I think we just decided one day that this was going to be our song so it has been every since. Each year when we go to Eureka Springs we always make sure to have dinner at the Grand so we can have Jerry Yester from The Lovin’ Spoonful sing it to us…
