Instead of using the native Jigoshop attribute functionality that’s built into Jigoshop (that sometimes gives customers problems until they understand it’s functionality), I’ve been using an alternative extension as an add-on to Jigoshop called Product Addons. The Product Add-Ons extension allows you to add additional data fields to your individual product pages. That means you can add any field with a custom text title, and then allow customers to respond via a checkbox, select box or text input.
So, for example, you may wish to allow customers to pick from a list of optional upgrades or accessories for a particular product, along with options to add custom text and personalization. You can also set individual prices for each option, giving you a great way to up-sell to your customers as part of their initial purchase and not disrupt them during the checkout process.
There’s also a premium version of the extension available here, but I haven’t had a chance to try it out yet.
