Google Friend Connect

December 10, 2008 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

If you are a website owner looking to increase your websites’ social interaction, you should checkout Google Friend Connect.  Google Friend Connect allows visitors to your website to instantly post comments to your site using their existing Google or GMail Account.  This eliminates the need for them to register on your site.  In a nutshell, Google handles your website’s user account management for you.

I have long been an advocate of another connect platform, Facebook Connect, which I also run on this blog in tandem with Google Friend Connect.  Facebook is the largest social network out there and the only credible one in my opinion, by running Facebook Connect on your website you not only allow visitors to your website to easily login and post comments using their Facebook Accounts, but it also increases your websites visibility inside this gigantic social network therefore driving more hits to your website.

About Cotton Rohrscheib

The Cotton Club is a monthly podcast hosted by me, Cotton Rohrscheib. I'm a 52 year old entrepreneur w/ ADHD, OCD (and now AARP) that refuses to grow up as I grow old. I have collaborated and invested in hundreds of projects throughout my career in multiple industries such as; technology, healthcare, and agriculture. I also have 25 years experience in the marketing industry as a co-founder of an award-winning advertising agency. I will undoubtedly cover a wide variety of topics on my podcast while sharing some really crazy stories and situations that I've been fortunate to witness firsthand. I also have a book coming out in 2025 titled, "Mistakes were Made"
