Random Thoughts on My Friend Crowbar & ‘Clash of the Ozarks’…

April 3, 2014 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

cover_story1-2By now I’m sure that most of you have already heard about the hot new reality show, ‘Clash of the Ozarks’ on Discovery Channel, that’s based right here in Arkansas. You’d have a hard time in the vicinity of Hardy, Arkansas finding someone who hasn’t heard of my good friend Crowbar Russell (especially now since he’s world famous), but the truth of the matter is that Crowbar has been a big deal for a long-time around those parts thanks to his popular fishing & outdoor programs that aired in Jonesboro and eventually were picked up nationally. I’m telling you, those fellas are the real deal.

I’ve heard a lot of criticism about the show, most all pointing to the fact that the show is not representative of how most Arkansans live their day-to-day lives. I’ve even heard a few say that it’s a black eye for the state, but I’ve argued w/ each and every person that I have encountered w/ this opinion. Of course they are not like you and I, that’s why they have a reality show and you don’t. They value things that a lot of people take for granted, and believe it or not, their values are something that we could all benefit from studying.

Long story short, I totally enjoyed the first season of ‘Clash of the Ozarks’ and I can’t wait for season two!

Oh, and I was just on the phone w/ Crowbar and Latisha, and guess what… well, never mind. Gonna make you wait. I’ve got a big surprise announcement but I’m going to save it for a few days from now, but you’ll want to be paying attention because it’s sort of a big deal. I promise.
