Cotton Rohrscheib

I've been an entrepreneur my entire life and have been blessed to have been associated with hundreds of startups and projects throughout my career. A few years ago I started offloading many of my business interests to spend more time w/ my family and retool my focus toward the agricultural industry, ultimately I landed at Farmers Business Network, Inc. w/ a great team of people w/ shared mission / vision and the rest is history! I still operate my personal website & blog occasionally on topics of interest to me including; parenting, agriculture, technology, and whatever else comes my direction! My blog, cotton.buzz, is the product of over 20yrs worth of content, photos, podcasts, videos, etc., and all of the content I produce is mine personally, and only represent my views and/or opinions on topics and do not represent any of the businesses or associations I'm affiliated with.

Excluding Category from Feed (WP)

I know that there are probably some plugins out there that will accomplish this same exact thing but if you are looking for a way to exclude a category on the fly with a wordpress website, this method will work.  Just locate the category ID# and append it to your feed in Feedburner like so… […]

BP Spills Coffee

This video has been circulating on Twitter this morning.  While I don’t think what has happened in the Gulf of Mexico is funny, this video accurately points out how well BP is handling the situation.

This is sooooo true…

Pleth to Sponsor AHEWC

June 10, 2010 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

Pleth corporate site about this soon but I wanted to also make mention of the fact that Pleth will be sponsoring the Arkansas Higher Education Web Conference this year.  The Arkansas Higher Education Web Conference, or AHEWC, is the brainchild of Chris Nixon, Tonya Oaks Smith, and Shelley Keith. Having worked with several universities from […]

Premium WordPress Hosting

June 3, 2010 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

Pleth.  We never have really fit into our industry very well because our philosophy is completely different than 90% of the hosting companies in business today.  Most web hosting companies offer low-cost hosting plans with very few bells and whistles so they can keep their costs down and undercut their competitors prices.  Services like DNS […]

#WCFAY High Points

June 1, 2010 by Cotton Rohrscheib 1 Comment

This past weekend Keith Crawford and I headed to Fayetteville w/ our wives to attend Wordcamp Fayetteville. We were also meeting several friends from Central Arkansas at the conference like Brent Passmore, Daniel Spillers, Aaron Baker, Tonya Smith, Shelley Keith, and a few others (I probably left someone out, sorry).  When we got into town […]

#WCFAY Mitch Canter – WP3

June 1, 2010 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

Mitch also did a session this weekend on WordPress 3.0 because there was a lot of buzz about 3 since the release candidate 1 was just pushed out the door the prior week.  In this session Mitch touches on some of the high points that are coming w/ version 3.0. There’s some really good information […]

#WCFAY Mitch Canter – Plugins

June 1, 2010 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

This is the video of Mitch Canter’s session on making WordPress do everything.  In this session he touched on running e-commerce through WordPress as well as podcasting.  He also mentions some very nice plugins that he uses on just about every project, ironically we have almost identical toolboxes when it comes to staple plugins. I […]
