I just found out yesterday from some of our procurement team that we can expect to see Tariffs start impacting input costs as soon as February.
This news came as the Trump administration announced that tariffs would start being implemented on February 1st. Imports from Mexico and Canada will be subject to 25% tariffs and products from China will be subject to 10%. This will undoubtedly impact most crop protection products on the market, including our own.
While we can’t say for certain when this will impact COGs or what the final amount will actually be (because these estimated amounts are likely being used as negotiation tactics), I wanted to take this opportunity to give you a heads up.
I highly recommend locking down what you know you are going to need in the month of January before these tariffs impact product pricing across the industry. This month is also a great time to take advantage of our 0% financing opportunity for new and returning customers!
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or your local sales representative. We are looking forward to working with you this season!
