Field Hands Fundraiser for The One, Inc.

July 20, 2012 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

Be sure to make plans now to attend the first annual ‘Field Hands’ Event / Fundraiser for The One, Inc. that will be held at the White Water Tavern on Saturday, August 18. As many of you might already know, The One, Inc. is the 501c3 Non-Profit Organization that oversees several key ministries in Central Arkansas, you may already be familiar w/ The Van, well we have two more vans in other cities (with a third one coming soon), that a lot of people don’t know about. The One, Inc. also launched something entirely new this year called, The Field. You guessed it, we grow food in the field, just like God intended. To be perfectly honest, as much as we have been able to accomplish in the short period of time The One, Inc. has been up and running, we haven’t even scratched the surface in terms of the need versus what we are able to do each month.

Long story short, the need is great, in order to be successful, we need everyone’s support so that we will have the resources to not only meet the needs of those who are hungry, homeless, and hurting today, but also to help them long term to get back on their feet. I’m proud to say I serve on the board of directors for The One, Inc., pretty much the entire organization spawned from one guy’s vision, Aaron Reddin. I can’t express in words how much I love this guy and his heart for giving, he’s just about as genuine as they come and his heart is truly to serve those in need. He inspires me to be better man every day.  Aaron recently left his job and became our first full-time staff member at The One, Inc. so I know that God has some amazing things in store for this ministry!! If you are able, please consider partnering w/ The One, Inc. by becoming a monthly donor, it’s easy to setup. If you can spare $5, $20, $50, or even $100 a month, we’d be extremely grateful.

Another way you can support The One, Inc., is to attend ‘FARM HANDS’ at White Water Tavern in Little Rock on Saturday, August 18th at 8pm.  The cost to get into the show is only $10 @ the door and the proceeds go to benefit “The Field”.  The headline artists include: The Salty Dogs, Monkhouse, and Jody Evans plus other friends and guests. Watch for details and announcements regarding the event as well as how you can have your own, limited-edition Field Hands T-Shirt on The One, Inc. website.

By the way, you can RSVP for the event on Facebook. (Please share the event page with as many people as you can so we can have an awesome turnout!!)

  • Also, a big thanks to Eric Rob & Isaac for designing these awesome posters for us and to Paul Strack at CustomXM Printing for agreeing to print them for us!!
