Cotton Rohrscheib

I've been an entrepreneur my entire life and have been blessed to have been associated with hundreds of startups and projects throughout my career. A few years ago I started offloading many of my business interests to spend more time w/ my family and retool my focus toward the agricultural industry, ultimately I landed at Farmers Business Network, Inc. w/ a great team of people w/ shared mission / vision and the rest is history! I still operate my personal website & blog occasionally on topics of interest to me including; parenting, agriculture, technology, and whatever else comes my direction! My blog, cotton.buzz, is the product of over 20yrs worth of content, photos, podcasts, videos, etc., and all of the content I produce is mine personally, and only represent my views and/or opinions on topics and do not represent any of the businesses or associations I'm affiliated with.

Happy Birthday Spencer!

February 14, 2013 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

It’s been 9 months now since Spencer came into our lives, it just seems like yesterday that we got a phone call from our attorney asking if we could be in Kansas at 1:30pm that following day for a hearing where we could take custody of of this precious 3 month old baby boy that […]

My Wife is Amazing!!

February 14, 2013 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

It takes a pretty special woman to keep me organized and out of trouble, I’ll admit that I’m pretty high maintenance at times. We are fortunate in the fact that she doesn’t work a 9-5 job, but when you factor in all that goes into keeping this house in order, and add in a dog […]

Growing Up in Helena Wasn’t Bad…

February 13, 2013 by Cotton Rohrscheib 5 Comments

Today there was an article in Arkansas Business stating that my hometown, Helena-West Helena, might not be able to make payroll this week and that some of the elected officials might not get paid. I inadvertently started a conversation when I shared this story on Facebook. I know that this news may not come as […]

Thoughts on the Grammy’s…

February 12, 2013 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

The other night I had every intention in the world of watching the Grammy’s so I could see their all-star tribute to Levon but for the life of me I couldn’t make myself do it. I’m sure a big part of what I’m fixing to say has a lot to do with the fact that […]

New Responsive Child Theme for Genesis Framework: The Cotton Club

February 12, 2013 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

Typically I like to do a redesign of this blog each year, and I’ve known in my head exactly what I wanted to do with this iteration for quite some time, unfortunately, I’ve been pretty busy and haven’t had the spare time to dedicate to this project. Recently, I forced myself to sit down and […]

I’m honored to have been asked to serve as one of the judges in the upcoming Helena Start-Up Challenge that awards winning entrepreneurs with seed capital to turn their business concepts into start-ups in my hometown of Helena-West Helena, Arkansas. The winner of the challenge will receive $25,000 and the runner-up will receive $15,000 to […]

January 30, 2013 by Cotton Rohrscheib 5 Comments

I’ve had a couple of people ask me to post an update as to how things are going w/ the whole Diabetes thing so here goes. Before I go any further though, I’m going to go ahead and give you a heads up disclaimer, I’m going to be talking about feet. I know some of […]

Pleth Recognized as Small Business of the Year!

January 30, 2013 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

Okay, so I’m a week late getting this added to the blog, but it’s been a crazy week around here, I promise! Anyway, last Wednesday at the Batesville Chamber of Commerce Business Expo (hosted at the University of Arkansas Community College in Batesville), Pleth was named as the 2013 Small Business of the Year! Needless […]

Thanks Trump! Expect Fewer Rants from Me…

January 18, 2013 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

This past week I had my eyes opened to something that I haven’t given a lot of thought to in a long time, the funny part is who I can attribute my eye-opening experience to, Donald Trump.  It’s no great secret that I’m not a huge fan of “The Donald”, in fact, he and I […]

Weight Loss, Diabetes, and Blood Pressure

January 14, 2013 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

I just wanted to post a quick update for those of you that have asked how I’m doing with my new regimen of lifestyle changes (diet, exercise, and nutritional supplements). Long story short I received a phone call the other day from my doctor where he told me to basically start weening myself off of […]
