Cotton Rohrscheib

I've been an entrepreneur my entire life and have been blessed to have been associated with hundreds of startups and projects throughout my career. A few years ago I started offloading many of my business interests to spend more time w/ my family and retool my focus toward the agricultural industry, ultimately I landed at Farmers Business Network, Inc. w/ a great team of people w/ shared mission / vision and the rest is history! I still operate my personal website & blog occasionally on topics of interest to me including; parenting, agriculture, technology, and whatever else comes my direction! My blog, cotton.buzz, is the product of over 20yrs worth of content, photos, podcasts, videos, etc., and all of the content I produce is mine personally, and only represent my views and/or opinions on topics and do not represent any of the businesses or associations I'm affiliated with.

Homeland Security Wants Alert System!

April 9, 2008 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

I was just reading on CNN this morning where Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff mentioned to a group of people that his agency was looking to setup some kind of alert system to protect sensitive government applications.  This alert system in his mind would somehow alert them that someone was trying to compromise a government […]

Catching the XBox Moron!

April 8, 2008 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

I just saw a piece on CNN about a guy in Philadelphia who had his home broken into and his xbox, Mac powerbook, and television all stolen. He called the police but knowing that they weren’t going to do a whole lot about the crime he took matters in his own hands and tracked down […]

PHPR / Smarty templates

April 8, 2008 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

Smarty Templates have been around for a while now and are pretty popular with developers.  One of the things that I really like about PHPR (PHPRUNNER) is that it utilizes Smarty Templates and stores them in a directory called <templates> inside of whatever application you are working in.  Let’s say we are working on a […]

Facebook Launches Instant Messaging!

April 8, 2008 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

Facebook has launched Instant Messaging on it’s popular social network.  I had no idea that Facebook was the second largest social network on the web, I guess that MySpace is probably still the top dog.  In my opinion, and I have stated this in the past, MySpace is just too “out of control”, often times […]

April 8, 2008 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

I am going to save this one for a rainy day when I have a little spare time but my plans are to add another social bookmarking tag to my wordpress installations (approx 10) that will allow posts to be sent to MySpace as well as the others like Facebook, etc. that we already have […]

Funny Prank at Wal-Mart!

April 7, 2008 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

Okay, here’s an idea for a pretty funny prank.  Hook up the Claw Game to one of those motorized scooters so when someone takes off it will be pulled behind the scooter.  Actually what I think happens in this video is the guy things that the scooter is plugged in but instead he unplugs the […]

Conway, AR – Google Maps (Street View)

April 7, 2008 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

I was at a Men’s Breakfast this Saturday morning and a group of us were discussing the newest addition to Google Maps, Street View.  This Street View feature is both cool and kind of super creepy at the same time if you think about it, basically some dude driving around in a compact car with […]
