Henry Rohrscheib
May 27, 1944 – December 17, 2023

I wanted to take a minute to thank everyone that has reached out to my family and I through phone calls, text messages, emails, etc., you will never know how much it has meant to mom and I over the past few days. I would also like to thank everyone that sent flowers, food, and memorials in dad’s honor. I’ve allocated a set amount of time each day to write thank you notes but I’m concerned that I’m going to miss a few people because everything was a complete blur for a period of time for Mom and I both. Dad meant a lot to a lot of people and will be missed by so many people. We are so blessed to have a lifetime of memories w/ him to hang onto until we see him again.

Henry Rohrscheib, 79, of Lexa passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023 in Helena, Arkansas. He was born to Eunice and H.W. ”Judge” Rohrscheib on May 27, 1944 in Helena, Arkansas. Henry was a member of the 1963 Barton High School graduating class where he was a standout athlete on the Barton Bears football team.

Henry was a member of Second Baptist Church in West Helena and was a well known and respected farmer in the community. He was an always humble man that could answer pretty much any question anyone ever had related to farming rice, cotton, corn, or soybeans, that could also deliver cattle in the middle of the night if assistance was needed. There was nothing he couldn’t fix or at least make it work long enough to get by.

In 2012, upon the arrival of his grandson, Spencer, he would take on his most cherished role as the mayor of Papaw, Arkansas. Known only as Dadoo, he was responsible for countless trips and memories that we are so thankful for today. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, going to Razorback games, cooking, wood working in his shop, gardening and studying the bible. He was also notorious for going way too fast on his lawnmower and sometimes required assistance from his loving neighbors when things got out of hand.

Henry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Billie Sue Rohrscheib; his son, Cotton, and his grandson, Spencer. He is also survived by his siblings, Leonard & Mandy Rohrscheib, Nancy Hill, Cathy & Jerry Pryor, Emma & Jerry James, Pat & Dennis Delk and countless nieces, nephews and cousins whom he loved immensely. Also, very near and dear to his heart was his four legged companion, Barney.

Visitation will be held at Roller Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena, Arkansas on Wednesday, December 20th from 5pm to 7pm. The funeral will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 21st at Second Baptist Church in West Helena, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to Ag for Autism.

Pallbearers will be Jay Hollowell, Joey Grubbs, Curtis Rohrscheib, Craig Garrison, Scott Pryor, Terry Grubbs, Reed Rohrscheib and Mark Garrison.

Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870)572-2571. Relatives and friends may sign the online guestbook
