I get a lot of questions regarding how I track and report my blood sugar readings so I figured I would do a post on Glooko, the best app I’ve ran into for diabetics. Going into my upcoming “medical makeover” w/ Hippocrates Health that I blogged about last week, this has been one of the things that we have been looking into so I’m able to share things like my diet, exercise, and glucose readings w/ them. Long story short, I’m a technology nerd so anything that interfaces with my iPhone will only encourage me to test more times during the day.
Glooko is a cool app that is available on iPhone and Android platforms. The cool thing about Glooko is that there is a proprietary cable that is purchased separately that connects from my iPhone to a reader that pulls date from my testing equipment, the ACCU-CHEK® Nano. Once data is pulled into Glooko’s app, it’s also sent online to My Glooko Dashboard that gives me a graphical representation of where I’m at w/ my diabetes.
