This is a copy of The Cotton Club Newsletter that went out to 30,000 growers across the mid-south on September 10, 2024.
I know that this tropical storm is top of mind for everyone in the mid-south right now as they are trying to get their crops out before the rain and wind gets here. I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know that I’m praying for you guys to cover as much ground as possible safely before the storm gets here.
Weather Channels Hurricane Tracker
I thought I would share this link to the weather channel’s hurricane tracking & forecast models. It looks like there was a shift today in the path they think Francine is going to take. See the spaghetti model below…
Back from Kansas City…
I spent last week in Kansas City w/ our Farmers Business Network team putting together our programs for the 2025 season. I know it’s hard to get excited about anything related to agriculture right now –but we have some things that I think will help you guys out. I will be rolling out some emails in a few weeks about burndown, etc., but for right now I wanted to share the good news… we will have 0% financing for 2025. Click here to learn more…

We Need Your Chemical Invoices…
Submit Your Chemical Invoices from the 2024 Growing Season to see if you paid too much for Chemicals this season compared to what others paid. The 2024 Ag Chemical Price Transparency Report offers farmers exclusive insights into national & regional chem price trends for popular products. Farmers confront many challenges as they strive for profitability, but the lack of transparency in the chem market quickly adds substantial costs to already expensive farming essentials.
This year’s report, developed by aggregating and anonymizing farmer-submitted chemical invoices, examined 2,400+ unique pricing data points across 33 states and 120+ insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, and adjuvants.
Once harvest is complete and you are wrapping up for the season please take a few minutes to snap some pictures of your chemical invoices from this season and text them to me: 501-206-1664 or email and I will add them to our anonymous data collection so that our reports are even more accurate. All information submitted is completely anonymous and no one will see your invoices.
Let’s Connect on Social Networks…
One of the things I’ve been working on this week is connecting w/ all of the new growers that I’ve met in the mid-south on social media. I’m pretty active on Facebook as well as Instagram. If we haven’t already connected, please be sure to send me a request.
