Cotton Rohrscheib

I've been an entrepreneur my entire life and have been blessed to have been associated with hundreds of startups and projects throughout my career. A few years ago I started offloading many of my business interests to spend more time w/ my family and retool my focus toward the agricultural industry, ultimately I landed at Farmers Business Network, Inc. w/ a great team of people w/ shared mission / vision and the rest is history! I still operate my personal website & blog occasionally on topics of interest to me including; parenting, agriculture, technology, and whatever else comes my direction! My blog, cotton.buzz, is the product of over 20yrs worth of content, photos, podcasts, videos, etc., and all of the content I produce is mine personally, and only represent my views and/or opinions on topics and do not represent any of the businesses or associations I'm affiliated with.

Current Project: Facebook Connect

October 21, 2008 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

I have been following the Facebook Connect platform every since it was announced on the Facebook Developers Blog.  This project makes a whole lot of sense to me as both a developer and a website owner.  One of the goals that every blogger has is to build a large readership.  This can sometimes be a […]

Projects: Celebration Church

October 19, 2008 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

One of the funner projects that I have been working on as of late is a WordPress driven website for Celebration Church in Fresno, California.  I have been working closely with Tim Langley, who is on staff at the church and we have basically built this website from the ground up with Tim supplying the […]

Visual Design Tweaks in WP 2.7

October 18, 2008 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

Automattic has posted some screenshots of what the revised Dashboard and Post Page is going to look like in the WordPress 2.7 Release Candidate.  A while back you might remember a survey that Automattic put out asking for input on what changes developers and bloggers would like to see in the next release candidate.  Like […]

Retainer Agreements

October 17, 2008 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

My business partner, Greg Smart, was recently asked to explain our retainer agreement to one of our new clients, he posted this description on his blog.  Retainers are a real value that we offer our clients. I thought that this was a dead on description so decided to repost that description here: Our retainer agreements […]

Exploit Alerts from Google

October 17, 2008 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

Today I was waiting around for a meeting to get started and pulled up Google’s blog to read about their earnings report that was posted yesterday and saw where they had expanded their Webmaster Tools to include XSS Exploit notifications.  This is a great idea in my opinion! My business partners and I were in […]

Roov Facebook Connect Launched

October 13, 2008 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

I just wanted to give a shout out to my friend Chris and the good folks at Roov for launching their Facebook connect this past weekend.  It just seems like yesterday that I talked to Chris and this project was just in it’s very infant stages but the Roov team has really hit the ground […]

TulsaTechFest 2008

October 9, 2008 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

My wife and I had been planning on driving to Oklahoma City this weekend for my nieces birthday so when I caught wind on Twitter about TulsaTechFest I decided that I would head over and catch a few sessions this weekend while the women went shopping or whatever it is that they do when the […]

Hanging with Mark Martin

October 3, 2008 by Cotton Rohrscheib 1 Comment

This past week was pretty cool, Monday morning I showed up early at the Conway Airport to pickup my business partner Stephen and one of our VIP clients, Mark Martin. Yep, that Mark Martin, who a day earlier was speeding 200 mph around the track at Kansas Motor Speedway in the Nextel Cup Series.  I […]

Thoughts on Bailout

October 3, 2008 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

It is my sincere hope that this country’s economic crisis is solved with this new bailout plan that was signed into effect today, but honestly I don’t know that anyone in Washington has taken one step towards resolving the problems that got us here in the first place.  Here’s an analogy, let’s say you have […]
