Thoughts from Easter 2013…

Bogey Eating Spencer’s Eggs

I just finally got around to uploading photos from Easter weekend today. We had a great time, my parents were in town for Spencer’s first Easter with us and Donna’s parents came over and we all hung out and dyed Easter eggs the night before and Donna fixed my favorite dinner in the whole world, Hawaii Meatballs. Needless to say I pigged out but probably burned all of those calories the next day helping Spencer hunt the eggs (and keep Bogey from eating them).

We went and had brunch in Little Rock Easter Sunday because we attended Easter Services at NLC on Friday evening and had the entire weekend free w/ the exception of our Internet Campus that Donna and I pastor on the weekends. In case you missed NLC’s Easter Service this year I’ll be sure to share it below.

Probably the funniest thing that happened all weekend was Spencer taking his eggs out of his basket and crushing them on the patio and Bogey (our Pug) would come along behind him and eat them up, shells and everything. After about two or three boiled eggs needless to say that Bogey was pretty foul that evening. The next day we would open all the windows in the house.

Also over Easter we had an oil spill in nearby Mayflower, Arkansas (the site of the spill was probably 8-10 miles as a crow flies from our house). There’s a lot to do with that story, and it’s very sad, but that’s another blog post altogether. By the way, there are pictures from Easter posted here…
