I just ran across a cool article on Arkansas Business’s website by Mark Friedman, about how Small Ad Agencies are finding their Niche in today’s marketplace. Needless to say it peaked my interest because although Pleth is primarily a tech firm that specializes in Web Development, Managed Hosting, and Premium Email Solutions we have found ourselves in conversations with our clients that pertain to “ad agency” type topics. For this very reason we have built some strong relationships with agencies in both Little Rock and Jonesboro so that we can help to service our clients needs. I have always felt that these clients knew in the back of their heads that we are tech-gurus and not so much the creative type, not to undersell the creativity that we do have and put to use in our clients projects but that’s simply not what they are paying us for at the end of the day.
As an end result we have formed some reliable and productive relationships with agencies in both markets and have added to our service offerings. We now offer design and print services to our clients, this definitely was not in the mix when we founded Pleth, we offered the web and that was it.
Today my partners and I had the opportunity to talk with a video production company in Little Rock that brings a lot to the table in terms of video production for the web. This is something that I think is only getting started, I feel that video will be served a lot more than it is already in the coming years, we are on the ground floor of video to the web I think from an industry perspective.
