One of the projects I started earlier this year was developing a custom php/mysql content management solution for KFFB Radio. Bob Connell, the owner and general manager of the station is a close friend and he gave me a lot of good feedback as to what he wanted to see on the website. I built the entire solution using PHP and MySQL and have quite a few custom scripts running on the backend to pull information into the site.
At this stage of the game I am pretty close to launching the project but after spending the afternoon with Bob and discussing the site we have decided to integrate their blog into the website more heavily. Since they were using an outdated version of wordpress I have made a clean installation and will be harvesting their RSS Feeds for plugging into various areas on the site. We have also been researching the best sources for RSS News that can be syndicated on the site.
It’s my goal to launch the final project early this week but in the interim, here’s a screenshot of what I have so far,
