I was uploading some photos this morning from our trip to visit some friends in Texas and noticed that Picasa had an update available. Picasa 3.5 is a significant upgrade from 3.1 in that it adds name tags. Granted, I konw that Flickr and Facebook have had this for a while but it’s good to see that the Picasa team is continuing to better their product.
I have been a Picasa user for several years now, back before Google even purchased them, and while I have dabbled with Flickr and a few other photo sharing services, I keep coming back to Picasa. Here’s a release I found on the Picasa blog this morning about the update as well as a YouTube video…

We’re happy to announce the launch of Picasa 3.5, the latest release of Picasa photo management software. If you don’t want to wait until we autoupdate everyone to Picasa 3.5, you can download it at picasa.google.com.
