As many of you may already be aware, our parent company, Rohrscheib Capital, recently acquired another provider in the cloud hosting industry and has began the process of consolidating products and services with this organization. It’s for this reason that many of you might have received a notice that you were going to need to make some changes to your DNS (domain name servers).
Domain Name Servers (DNS) are the Internet’s equivalent of a phone book. They maintain a directory of domain names and translate them to Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. This is necessary because, although domain names are easy for people to remember, computers or machines, access websites based on IP addresses. If you haven’t already, and your account representative has notified you that you should make these changes, please point your nameservers to the following:
- ns1.cotton.consulting
- ns2.cotton.consulting
If your account is serviced by one of our many resellers your nameservers may be different, so please either consult with them or contact our technical support department for assistance.
