My Evernote Addiction…

April 27, 2012 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

I know that there are a lot of people that will read this post that have been Evernote fans for as long as I have if not longer, but I think it’s important to point out those applications like Evernote, that literally change our lives. I have no idea how my life functioned before Evernote. I was just thinking this morning how much I depend on that one application every single day of my life and how it didn’t even exist a few years ago, wasn’t even something I probably would have considered either because it wasn’t part of “the bundle” that I thought every person in business should have running on their desktops, Microsoft Outlook. I will be the first to admit that when I migrated to Mac from PC the one thing that left me kicking and screaming was the absence of Microsoft Outlook, nothing in the Mac world compares to what Outlook will do on the PC, and even though they have released a version for the Mac, it’s not the same…

Not only did I use to keep all of my contacts, calendars, tasks, and most importantly project notes inside of outlook, but I also synced it with my wireless device(s). Over time I have managed to convert all of my Outlook notes over into Evernote and stored them in Notebooks and tagged them in a way that I probably have one of the largest and most complex Evernote notebooks on the planet, but to the credit of this awesome application and thanks to their system of organization (notebooks + tagging), I can usually put my fingers on the information I need in just a few seconds. I know that everyone that reads this blog is probably already sold on Evernote for as long as I have been, but I bet there are some out there that have never tried it. I highly recommend downloading it today on your desktop, iphone, and ipad, it will change your life…
