I sure wish I could say when we would be heading back to Arkansas but we really don’t know yet, we are still holding out hope for Wednesday morning…
This is the third night since we’ve had Spencer that he went to bed before we did and got up after us, I guess he has no interest in getting up in the middle of the night, which is kind of weird because I’ve always heard babies did that. In 3 days I think I have heard him cry maybe 3 or 4 times at the most, and those were just because he either a) wanted a bottle, or b) needed a new diaper. Just based on what I’m hearing from others who have raised a bunch of kiddos, Spencer is like a dream baby or something…
We still do not know when we are going to be able to come home, we are hoping for the middle part of this week, around Wednesday, but it really depends on how long it takes for the various agencies at play to send us all of the paperwork we need. I think some of it is already in route to us but won’t be here until Wednesday. We also have some doctors appointments scheduled tomorrow so that we can get some more information from his pediatrician and gastro doctors. He continues to eat fine w/ the exception of at least one nice projectile spit-up a day. Once he spits up he looks at you and grins, almost like he’s proud of himself…
We have had a lot of people ask so here are the links to the baby registries we have been able to setup online while we are here in Kansas. Once we return to Arkansas, Donna has said that she also plans on registering at Ann’s Trendy Kidz (Conway), Laura’s Family Goods (Conway), and The Toggery (Little Rock)…

I’ve also had a few people ask about his nursery, and given the fact that we had no idea we were going to get custody of him this quickly, we basically have to hit the ground running when we get home to get everything together. We are going w/ a Vintage Agriculture Look and will have a lot of my die-cast tractors and various other items from the farm as centerpieces, etc.
Hopefully we will have more to report tomorrow as to when we might be able to head home, but in the meantime the entire day that I spent w/ this kiddo is like a cram course in Rocket Science or something, I learn something new about every 10-15 minutes, for instance, when the yellow strip down the front of his diaper has turned to green he’s wet…

That is great Cotton! I know you all want to be home and get things going. We are praying that everything goes smoothly, every “i” is dotted and every “t” crossed.
Man, we didn’t have the luxury of having those diapers. You had to peek to see if anything happen and take a chance of getting wet yourself. Ha!
We are so excited for you guys!
