Off the top of my head, I’m not quite sure how many client installations of WordPress I manage right now, but trust me when I say that it’s a pretty big number. With that being said, when WordPress releases a Core Upgrade w/ Security or Bug-fixes, there is a sense of urgency to upgrade all of these installations to the latest, most stable release. I’m sure you can imagine, the task of updating all of these client installations is somewhat daunting, especially if you have close to 100 installations to manage. This job, even w/ the best practices and automation that I had put in place, would usually take me the better part of a day. Needless to say, when I read about ManageWP it immediately peaked my interest…
I decided to setup an account and give it a test run on a few of my personal WordPress installations to make sure that I didn’t hose up any of my clients production sites. After about a day or so of playing around w/ ManageWP I decided to consult w/ some other developers to a) see if they had heard of ManageWP, and 2) see what their thoughts were from a security / management perspective. Everyone I talked to agreed w/ me 100%, this is one of those tools that you can hang the adjective “revolutionary” on and not even think twice. With ManageWP, logging into each WordPress Installation individually is a thing of the past. With their unique one-click login technology, you can quickly access all of your dashboards from one central location.
I’m using my ManageWP Dashboard this evening to monitor my client installations, tweak their SEO, perform backups, deploy new installations, publish content, manage users, and secure all of my clients data. There are tons of features that I haven’t even touched yet w/ this tool. Also, I’m not getting any affiliate kick-backs or anything like that. This really is a sweet tool, if you manage a lot of wordpress installations, I highly recommend checking this tool out…
I don’t know a lot about the company but it appears that they are doing pretty well…
