I knew that I was going to like Disqus a lot before I installed it on my blog, but I don’t think that I realized just how much. My first observation after installing Disqus was that I immediately got about 3 or 4 comments on a few of my posts. One of the posts was several months old.
Prior to installing Disqus I had about 140+ registered users that had left comments on my blog, most using Facebook Connect and a few had registered via WordPress. Well, just by giving my readers the ability to post using authentication from Twitter, Facebook, Disqus, and OpenID has dramatically improved the dialogue I have with my subscribers / readers. I strongly recommend Disqus to anyone looking for an enhanced commenting platform.

I have been using Disqus on my personal blog for a couple months now and I'm pretty satisfied with it. It's true that it increases visitor participation due to the various login options, and that's really one of the main things you want to achieve as a blogger. Keep up the excellent posts! I actually just found your blog and there is a lot of great content here so I'll definitely come back often to read more. -Mike

Disqus is a pretty sweet system. With the flexibility and customability it has webmasters can tweak it to their liking. Obviously, facebook connect is going to be very popular as well, i mean, is there anybody who isn't on facebook anymore… besides my grandmother… and I'm expecting a friend request from her any day now.
