I ran across this story on KTHV’s website this morning and have been laughing hysterically every since. Folks, this is this guys five minutes of fame! Got to love it…
A West Virginia man has been charged with battery on a police officer after reportedly lifting his leg and passing gas on him. Jose Cruz was originally arrested for DUI, but according to the criminal complaint, he was uncooperative when they were trying to book him in. It says he refused to sit down and he said they would have to make him. They then note that they forced him to sit down.
Here’s what the complaint says happened next:
“During processing PTLM Cook was taking the defendants’ fingerprints while PTLM Parsons was typing data into the Intoximeters 5000 machine. PTLM Parson was in a chair approx 4-5 feet away from the Officer Cook and lifted his leg and passed gas loudly on PTLM Parsons. The defendant then fanned the air with his hand in front of his rear onto PTLM Parsons. The gas was very odorous and created contact of an insulting or provoking nature.” He’s charged with DUI, driving without headlights, battery on a police officer and two counts of
