my partners and i invested a couple hundred dollars toward a facebook campaign to promote one of our online properties, http://nascarview.com.
If you are unfamiliar with NascarView, it’s an online community portal dedicated to Nascar fans that features blogs, message boards, live racing chat, and several other key features. It’s become very popular in the few short weeks it has been live and we are seeing a lot of traction for this project.
The primary focus of the facebook campaign was to bring in readers / subscribers to our feeds and also to promote our message board membership and facebook connect functionality which allows facebook users to post messages on the website using their facebook accounts.
Prior to this campaign we had approximately 13 facebook member profiles registered on the website, as of today we have 90 member profiles showing up. Prior to the campaign we had 78 registered members on our message boards, and as of today we have 117. Although this is not a significant jump in the number of users we have on the board, it is still impressive since these types of communities typically take a lot of time to grow. Considering this message board is only about a month or so old we will take all that we can get at this stage of building our community.
What is my opinion of Facebook ads after having used them on one of my own projects? I am very Impressed!! If you are interested in speaking with my company, Pleth Networks, LLC about possibly placing ads for you in the Facebook social network, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We would love to work with you.
