Demo: Adding PHP Events in PHPRunner!

November 1, 2007 by Cotton Rohrscheib Leave a Comment

For anyone wanting to learn PHP or needing to use PHP to develop a custom application for their company or business, PHPRunner IDE by Xlinesoft is my recommendation by far!!!  I am constantly researching ways to save time and develop stable, reliable, and secure solutions for my clients, I haven’t found an IDE out there yet that can do a better job at putting together web applications than PHPR.  I try to stay pretty active in the PHPR forums with the rest of the PHPR community but sometimes I go a few days without checking in. Nontheless, the forums are always hopping with developers interacting and helping one another put together web-based applications in PHP/MySQL.  While the forums are a great resource for getting answers to your questions, there are some other resources available like FlashDemo’s that can really be useful.  I know that I sometimes learn a lot quicker with flash tutorials than i do by reading a lengthy help section.  I will be posting tutorials on my blog from time to time to help show some of the functionality of PHPR.

Here is a Link to TurboDemo Tutorial showing how to add a custom event to your PHP/MySQL application.  I use these events sometimes to trigger emails when a user has signed up online or when a data record has changed.  There are many options to when you might want to use an event in your code, check out the movie for additional information.
