I was just going through my emails for the day and was pleasantly surprised to see that our non-profit, Deliver Hope, has received a lot of support from the community. Some of you might remember that I blogged about our upcoming event on Saturday, January 23rd (from 6:30pm – 8:30pm) at Conway First Baptist Church. (more about the event here)
We were able to pickup some sponsorships from the community that will go a long way toward keeping our team working w/ the young people in our community that need a helping hand to point them onto the right patch.
I think I’ve mentioned this several times in the past but I love the work that we do at Deliver Hope. I think it has a lot to do with me having been one of “those kids” that made some bad decisions and ended up labeled as “one of those kids”, it’s a vicious cloud that can hang over a young persons life forever if it’s not broken. That’s where our vision comes into play…
Our MISSION is to deliver the hope of Jesus Christ to at-risk and under-served young people, no matter the circumstance.
We are working to inspire and equip the church to love and support at-risk youth. Our VISION is that every young person, no matter what issue they are facing in life, has the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel, that they are afforded resources for holistic growth, and that they discover transformational mentoring relationships that help them become all that God has created them to be.
Together, we can change this trend, mobilize communities, restore lives, and reach the next generation with the Gospel. Contact us to find out how you can partner with us and help shape eternity in the hearts of gospel-destitute young people.
Our PASSION is to see young people experience eternal hope through a genuine relationship with Christ and be connected to a local church. We believe God has a plan and a destiny for every child, and we are dedicated to inspiring young people to dream beyond their circumstances, excel despite their disadvantages, and reach their fullest God-given potential.
In addition to financial sponsorships we’ve also managed to accumulate over 40 items that will be available for the silent & live auctions at the event. I’ve seen some of the items and they are great. In fact, Rohrscheib Capital is donating an Apple iPad Mini for the live auction and a ‘GREATER‘ movie package that includes the book, ‘Through the Eyes of a Champion’, a pair of Burlsworth glasses, and movie passes for two to see the movie when it’s released on January 29th.
Our new agency, Cotton & Company Consulting (opening soon!), is also donating a small business website w/ eCommerce capability, free domain name & year of web-hosting for the event as well. This is a $5,000 package that will help some small business take the next step toward growing their business online!
If you haven’t gotten your tickets for the event yet, please go online and reserve them now!
